::Birthday Party:: 2nd Birthday - Little lamb theme!

For quite some time now i have been meaning to share

a few childrens birthday parties with you.

This cake was made for a friend a few months ago.

Her son was turning 2 and she wanted a theme with eiter stars or sheep,

so i thought why not combine them... :D

I designed a few sheep invitations ideas last year for another customer

and i was glad that I was able to finally use my sheep, as the other customer

chose a caterpillar theme.

Here are a few of the invitations I designed last year.

And here is the drawing I gave her, i wanted the cake to look like

something like this...

She liked it and so i made matching party box covers too.

Here are a few pictures of the details!

 I made the cake and matching star cookies, covered in fondant.

The Mom provided the party boxes, i got the measurements from

her and made the covers to match the cake/theme.

I have received numerous emails from readers asking me why I am so quiet and that they would love to see some blog posts!

So I thought I better get my act together and send a blog post or two your way…

I have been quite busy over the holidays as I know you were too and to tell you the truth, I haven’t had the desire to blog.

I have been updating my facebook quite regularly.

 I must say, all your emails and sweet compliments made me want to blog!

So to bring you up to speed on what I have been up to since my last blog post about 2 months ago I will start with our Church’s Senior Breakfast for Christmas… I know this is very late… but I thought I would share anyway!

I mainly did the food table decoration. And the menu(spyskaart) But all the other details were so pretty I took pictures of those as well!

It seems i am only getting out one blog post per month!

Although so much has happened in the last month or two.

In the beginning i was feeling terrible for not blogging so regularly

but i have since made peace with it, as life happens!

Let me fill you in on what has happened that has kept

me so busy!

We have moved house.

I know there are many bloggers who have blogged all through moving

and all the other things in life.

I must just be terribly lazy!

And while moving i hurt my ankle, so i have been struggling

with a swollen ankle for 3 weeks now.

It's a pain literally and figuratively as it also

keeps me from doing all the things i want to do!

I will post some pics of the new house soon.

Last week i baked again for the first time since the move

and I must say my new oven works pretty well.

I am feeling very tired since the move as it feels that i haven't found

time to do anything i want to do to make this new house feel like home.

I still have things to pack out and it is driving me crazy!

The past two weeks I have been busy with functions and

cakes and pretty much just life.

We had a funeral and a 21st birthday party on Saturday.

So that was a day full of mixed emotions.

But if there was a party then you are sure to be seeing some pics of

it very soon...

I am also baking this week and then my Granny is

coming to visit us for a few days.

Can't wait.

But for now i will be leaving you with the

view from our new house!
