HI
I recieved an order for a camo guitar cake a week ago, quite an odd request when you think about it...
I stressed a bit about getting the camo effect, but i think it went well... Its a madeira cake covered with fondant and fondant accents... I tried to do the strings with spaghetti, but they just wouldnt stick, so i used fondant after struggling for an hour.

Happy Birthday Cake :D
This was a cake i made last week.
A chocolate cake covered in fondant with fondant accents...
I must say this was a lot of fun to do, although it is a very plain cake.
This is what it looked like before i added the second colour...
Notice i am getting a lot better at creating those crisp edges, i am so proud of myself hehehe!:D

Rock 'n Roll 60th Birthday cake
Hi There!
I know i have been very lazy with posting on this blog! But who's counting?
I was asked to make a 60th birthday cake for this past Saturday, Rock 'n roll theme!
Now i was stressed about it, because the cake was travelling 600km to the party in three pieces, and i couldn't stack it myself...but i must say they did a good job at stacking it there...
The top cake is a dummy cake, but the bottom two are real cakes, madeira with vanilla buttercream frosting.
Have a look at the cake...
Here they are, all bare and covered in fondant ready for the finising touches...

The dummy cake, covered in fondant and polka dots

The middle tier - real cake- and covered in fondant, notes and dots...

The bottom tier, real cake, and coveredin fondant, and records -
Mind my tumble dryer in the background...

All boxed up and ready to travel...

And then after the long travel to the party, 600km far...
The guitars are gumpaste guitars..

I am very happy with how it turned out!
Have a nice day!!!
