if it was his birthday yet... How Cute!!

Can you fall in love with a cookie?

Well, if that is possible, then i have!
Today i started the decorating process for tomorrows
Valentines Day Dessert Buffet...
and
i have done the cookies so far...well, they are not completely done.
I still need to pipe some more detail on them when they are dry.

The reason i have fallen in love with these cookies, is well i guess they are almost perfect in comparison with my first attempt a year
ago

so without further ado
i will share my little lovelies with you!

see, much better than a year ago!

Well, i am off to do some more
cake, cookie, cupcake decorating...

Its been a year!

I can't believe it has been a year since my first blog post!
Back then i didn't even know what blogging was...
And as for my baking, i also knew very little...

It is actually amazing to look back and see the progress
I have made from my first cake(which i was very proud of) that kind of
looks like a flop now to my latest cake/s!

Its just almost scary what you can learn from the internet!
I didn't take one class in cake baking or decorating, all i
have learned is from browsing the web and by trial and error!
Probably goes with the saying, where there's a will there's a way...

Below are a few of my cakes, the very first one(top left) is my very first cake...
And then just a few that i have done through the year!

Share the love!

I designed these labels for our Valentines dinner which is on Sunday...
I looked all over for love birds, but alas couldn't find what I
was looking for!
So i made my own!

And because Valentines day is just around the corner,
i thought i would share some love with you!

You can download and print your own free
Love Bird Labels for Valentines day!
Use them as napkin rings, on Place cards, Jar labels etc...

Hope you can put them to good use, i know
i have already printed a bunch!

to download you own!

Have a pleasant evening!

BIG 4 - 0

My Aunt turned 40 on the 26th of January,
so i was thrilled to do a cake for her birhtday party on the
22nd of January!

She just loves Orange and Green and so
that was the choice of colour for the party!

I was glad, because i was able to use those vibrant colours on
her birthday cake!

She just adored it!
When i get some pictures of that night, I will post them.

Have a lovely day
Lots of love
(and speaking of love, keep a lookout for my valentines inspiration board coming up!)

Chocolate Fudge and Ice cream!

Yesterday was Sunday!
So I wanted some dessert!
I decided to keep it plain and simple!
So i used the chocolate fudge recipe I found online a while ago,
it is actually used for filling and frosting cakes, but
I figured it would go pretty well with some vanilla ice cream!
Just follow this link to the recipe!

And I was right, it went perfect with vanilla ice cream!

Have a sweet evening!
Lots of Love
